Remove scratches from old photos
Scratches are the most common damage on prints that lived in albums, drawers and shoeboxes. Removing them by hand means cloning pixel by pixel in an editor. Here it happens automatically: upload the photo and the scratches, dust specks and crease lines are painted out using the image around them.
Restore memories. Don’t reinvent them.
Your photographs are deleted automatically 24 hours after upload and are never used to train any model. How we handle your photos.
The default. Removes scratches and creases, corrects fading and colour casts, and recovers detail — all in one pass.
or drag them here — up to 50 at once, 25 MB each. JPEG, PNG, WebP, HEIC.
Scratches are rarely the only problem
A scratched print is usually also faded and soft. Instead of running a scratch-only filter, the same pass corrects the colour and recovers detail — which is why a de-scratched photo here looks restored rather than smudged.
Dust, hairs and scanner marks
Specks picked up by a flatbed scanner and hairs on a negative are treated the same way as physical scratches on the print.

- 3
Compare and download
Drag the before/after slider, then download the full-resolution result. Everything is deleted after 24 hours.
What it costs

- Will removing scratches soften the photo?
- No. Detail recovery runs in the same pass, so the repaired areas keep the grain and sharpness of the surrounding print.
- Can I do a whole album at once?
- Yes — batch restoration takes multiple photos in one go and offers a Download All when they finish.
