How we handle your photographs

Old family photographs are personal. This page says plainly what happens to a photo you upload — no legal fog.

Deleted after 24 hours

Both the photograph you upload and the restored result are deleted automatically 24 hours after upload. A scheduled job removes the files from storage and clears the links from our database. We keep only non-image metadata — which mode was run, whether it succeeded, how long it took — so we can operate and bill the service correctly.

This is a restoration service, not a photo album. Download your results within the 24-hour window.

Never used for training

Your photographs are never used to train any AI model, ours or anyone else’s. They are not sold, licensed or shared for any purpose beyond producing the restoration you asked for.

Who processes the image

Restoration runs on hosted models at fal.ai. Your photograph is sent to fal.ai for the length of the operation and the result is returned to us. We store files with Vercel Blob and payments are handled by Stripe, which receives your email address and payment details — we never see or store card numbers.

What we keep about you

Your email address, your credit balance, your purchase history, and a record of each restoration attempt. There are no passwords: signing in uses a one-time link sent to your email.

Deletion on request

Write to support@1001photorestore.com and we will delete your account, your remaining credits and every record associated with your email address.

Photographs of other people

Upload only photographs you have the right to use. Do not upload images of other people where doing so would be unlawful where you live.
